About
Ekaterina Golubeva currently lives and works in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. During studying graphic arts in State University of Technology and Design, she decided to start working as a selfmade designer, making t-shirt prints, pillows, art-bags, "getwell" cards.
From her studies, she retained a taste for the traditional techniques of watercolors, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, photography etc...
Influenced by artistic movements such as Lyrical Abstraction, her works attempt to combine reality and fantasy, precision and expressivity, figuration and abstraction.
Most of her creations are based on the speed of the gesture to render the movement to which are added bright colors. Each element comes alive on paper due to the association of a well-thought project and a dose of spontaneity. Therefore, she utilizes different ways to shake our human emotions.
